My social media lifestyle

I use social media as a daily habit. It makes my daily tasks easier and keeps me informed about the world. The social media I use can be analyzed as follows.
1.whatsapp
**How I use it** Messaging with friends, family and colleagues. Share photos, videos and documents. Participating in group chats for coordination and discussion. Making voice and video calls for personal and professional communication. **Advantages:** Secure with end-to-end encryption. Easy to use and widely adopted. Supports various media formats. Group chat feature is very convenient. **Disadvantages:** May cause notification overload. Phone number is required, limiting anonymity. Limited features compared to other messaging apps.
2.youtube
**How I Use It:** Watching videos for entertainment, education, and news. Following channels that match your interests and hobbies. Learning new skills through tutorials and how-to videos. **advantages :** Vast content library on almost any topic. Recommendations help discover new content. Great platform for learning and skill development. **disadvantages :** Ads can be disruptive unless you subscribe to premium. Potential for excessive screen time due to addictive content. Comments section can sometimes be negative or unconstructive.

**How I Use It:** Staying connected with friends and family. Sharing personal updates, photos, and life events. Engaging with communities through groups and pages. Consuming news and following public figures or interests. **advantages :** Strong for social networking and staying in touch. Wide range of content, from news to personal updates. Events and group features are valuable for organizing and participating in activities. **disadvantages :** Privacy concerns due to data handling practices. Exposure to misinformation or clickbait content. Can contribute to social comparison and anxiety.
4.Tik Tok
**How I Use It:** Watching short, entertaining videos. Following trends and participating in challenges. Sharing your own creative content, if applicable. **advantages :** Highly engaging, quick to consume content. Easy to create and share videos with a large audience. Strong sense of community and viral content. **disadvantages :** Can be highly addictive, leading to long usage times. Some content may be inappropriate or poorly moderated. Concerns about privacy and data security.

What is media : what is media Media refers to various means of communication that are used to reach and influence a large audience. It includes platforms such as television, radio, newspapers, magazines, websites, social media, and other digital channels. The term "media" can also refer to the organizations that produce content, such as news outlets, film studios, and publishing companies.
What is media litercy : **Media literacy** is the ability to access, analyze, evaluate, create, and communicate using all forms of media. It involves understanding how media messages are constructed, the purposes behind them, and their impact on audiences. Media literacy helps individuals critically evaluate the information they consume, recognize biases, and distinguish between credible and misleading content. It also empowers people to create and share their own media responsibly. In today's digital age, media literacy is crucial for navigating the vast amount of information available through television, the internet, social media, and other platforms.

Self Introduction

 



My name is A.A.Rangi pabasara.  I am 22 years old.  I live in Ratnapura.  My school is R/ Sumana Balika Vidyalaya. Studied advanced level in arts stream.  I am a second year student of the Faculty  of  Communication and Business Studies at Eastern University, Trincomalee Campus.

My mother's name is G.G .Jayawathi.  My father's name is A.A.A.Ambuldeniya.  My strength and my shadow in my journey till now has been my mother🥰. I have no brothers and sisters.  He shared everything in life with his mother and father.  My future hope is to become a lawyer🧑‍⚖️.  I will make that dream come true someday.  My mother's dream is to see me become a lawyer.  My hobby is reading books.  I'd rather go for a walk.  I strive to conquer the future by bearing sorrows, joys and challenges🤗.
