      Bopath Falls

Bopath Ella, or Bopath Falls, is a picturesque waterfall located near the town of Kuruwita in the Ratnapura District of Sri Lanka. It is named "Bopath" due to its shape resembling a "Bo" leaf (the leaf of the sacred fig tree, which is significant in Buddhism). The waterfall plunges down from about 30 meters (98 feet) in height, creating a beautiful cascade that forms a natural pool at its base.

Surrounded by lush greenery and thick forest, Bopath Falls is a popular tourist attraction and a favorite spot for locals who visit to enjoy its beauty and cool waters. The environment around the waterfall is serene, with the sound of cascading water and the chirping of birds adding to the natural ambiance. Due to its relatively easy access, it has become a popular destination for day trips and picnics.
